Cul2vate delivers second chances to those forgotten by society, give former convicts and addicts a new-found purpose of growing food to reduce food deserts, and all the support and mentorship this faith-based community has to offer.
Once a year, they celebrate the late-summer harvest with a fundraising social—showing gratitude for the work and bounty of the year to date, and till the soil for next year’s funds.
outcome
The results: an evening full of heartfelt smiles, poignant testimonies, and deep-rooted connection to the cause and each other. Each activation offered donors and staff to celebrate side by side, planting seeds of hope for next season, learning about the mission and reach, and giving back to their shared community—both at the event and on the road at many future farmer’s markets to come.
